Brown rice flour is made by milling hulled brown rice where the only the outer hull is removed (keeping the bran and germ layer). By grinding the brown rice grain a fine powder is created. Brown rice flour contains starch, fiber, protein and a small amount of fat as well as calcium, iron, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, selenium and vitamins B1 (thiamine) and B6 (pyridoxine).
